Again, the use of surgical method will depend on the size of stones. Only in case of large stone, the surgery is needed to physically remove the stones.

Kidney stone is a hard mass of crystals that separate from the urine within the urinary tract. An infection in the urinary track may also lead to the formation of a stone.  Small stone can be passed by drinking lot of liquid or beer if possible. But large stones do not come out without use of any surgery. Surgery is also recommended when a stone has got stuck in some difficult place, or when it is causing blockage of the urine. The stone can also cause damage to kidney and may lead to bleeding.

The most common surgery is the use of shock wave to break the stones into smaller parts. This surgery Urologist for Laser Prostate Surgery is known as extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. Here, the shock waves are created outside the body, but they travel inside the body to break the stones. These smaller particles of the big stone then travel through urine to get out of the body. Generally, the shock wave surgery is done on outpatients. The recovery time is low and patient can resume normal working life after few days.

Some issues can emerge for some patients in shock wave surgery. The patient may get blood in the urine. Some back pain or abdomen pain may also come.  The patient is advised not to take aspirin or other medicine after surgery that may lead to blood clotting.

When a stone is too large or located at a position, where the waves cannot travel, then the urologist creates a tiny incision in the back to reach the kidney with the help of a nephroscope. Some means Kidney stone specialist doctor in Delhi  like ultrasonic or eletroohydraulic is used to break the stone into smaller pieces.
